Things We Think You Should Buy

While we're very effective shoppers, we also happen to be two immensely talented browsers. Curators, if you will.

Or in scientific terms: gatherers

Thanks to what is likely a shared undiagnosed condition, we spend our down time (and sometimes our employed time) scouring the internet for jackets, jeans, stationary, tomato-scented room spray, handheld machines that zap electric currents into your face, bag charms, first editions of Madeleine, sardine-shaped lemon squeezers, bathroom tile, and various knits for the sole purpose of sending each other a link followed by a "you have to see this" text.

Kind of like an aspirational version of show-and-tell.

This week, we've decided to extend an invitation to all of you to be shown-and-told!! Yay!!

Welcome to the very aptly named series in which we tell you what we think you should spend your money on this week (day/month/year).

Our apologies in advance.

One of us burned through this candle years ago and still thinks about it. The other commented on it every time it was lit.  The perfect “elevated winter scent” (if that’s even a real thing)—warm, smoky, a little boozy, and honestly, kind of makes you feel established.

This may seem like a silly, frivolous, and unnecessary purchase. That's because it is! However, it is also a whimsical, special, and unique conversation piece and/or hosting gift that is guaranteed to bring joy, magic, and humour to your next dinner party/date night/long-day-at-work.

This is the most delicious wine if you like what we like.

That is: making impulsive (bottle) purchases (half based on the label) and a juicy, dangerously drinkable red. Are we sommeliers? No. But we know a good one when we taste it.

(Put the bottle apron on this.)

Because sometimes days feel like months!

While the initial instinct is to match mugs with initials, may we suggest seizing this opportunity and spelling something fun in your cabinets? Perhaps 'Paul Mescal’?

Over a tight red turtleneck?? Come on.

Overpriced, but almost justifiable when you picture it styled with a denim shirt and fun sunnies.

Also overpriced but we can appreciate that this one has two sides and a cover!

Also massive fans of the 'Bubble Slipper' but cannot in good conscience recommend a backless shoe in – 20 weather.

Would look VERY cute with the Simon Miller flats...

This is honestly just an adorable book to have on your shelf. And one guaranteed to be appreciated by nieces, nephews, and small cousins alike!

Originally seen (a version of) on episode 7 of "In the Bags of 3 Parisian Girls" and haven't been able to stop thinking about it since!

Very good airport, day-off, wear-for-a-few-days-straight pants.

Happy add-to-cart-ing!
