What We Bring to The Table

DoubleDish:

Unsolicited but Very Good Opinions

What This Is Not:

Not a recipe repository, not a restaurant review site, and definitely not anything remotely traditional. Honestly, this might not even be a blog. Think of it more as curated chaos of (food-adjacent) opinions.

What We Do Know:

(some things, thankfully) There will be food. There will be drinks. There will be the things we like. Some posts will definitely be blog-esque, but if you ask us — and you should— we’d call this more of a digital talent show.

Our Qualifications:

We're very good at going to dinner and ordering all the right things. Some might say that we’re notorious for ordering too many things. We're also pretty great at hosting dinners, even better at decorating for dinner, and exceptional at getting dressed for dinner. We're also medically unable to stop talking to each other, making studying for our undergraduate exams nearly impossible but everything else 10x more enjoyable.

Our Services:

  • Curated Picks: people, places, & things we think you should know about

  • Spots We Love & Spots We Less Than Like

  • Where to Go/What to Wear/How to Order

  • How-To’s Worth To-ing

  • Bite-Sized Opinions

  • City Finds: Hidden gems we've (reluctantly) decided to reveal

  • Outfit Inspo, Trend Thoughts, Current Obsessions, Best Reads, Playlists We’re Loving, Conversations Worth Having, Sticky-Floored Bars We’re Adoring, & Recipes We’re Trying: A look inside our brains, basically

  • On-Going Rankings: The dirtiest martinis to Toronto’s least-to-most insufferable establishments.

  • And of course... our two cents.

We also offer advice!

Our expertise spans from where to take your very picky and opinionated father to dinner, to what silly-but-beautiful things you should spend your money on, to how to perfect the art of the after-dinner ice cream, and what food books (not cookbooks) are worth the read.

If you have ever asked us for a dinner rec, what to wear, or what to order right now, you owe it to yourself (and to us) to stick around.

Welcome to our unsolicited but very good corner of the internet.
